Bo Burnhum

The objective of this project was to create a biography book about Bo Burnham—an American comedian, actor, musician, singer, and filmmaker. After thoroughly researching Burnham’s work and immersing myself in his shows and music, I identified “words” as the defining element of his art. Words are the foundation of his performances and music, and they shape his unique style. In the cover design, I placed Burnham’s photograph behind the words to emphasize that he is the man behind them, the creator of the narratives he shares with his audience. The design is straightforward yet dynamic, balancing two contrasting elements. Although it appears densely packed, it remains coherent, much like Burnham’s performances, which are often layered but deeply interconnected.
